A link to these yale adjustable slings was posted on the Aerial Riggers List in response to a way to shorten or lengthen a trapeze.I made a few out of Amsteel and was pleased with the results.

Samson rope gives min BS of their Amsteel 3/16” at 4900lbs and Amsteel Blue 5/16” at 9500lbs. Sample 1 (3/16”)failed at 4640lbs just below the end of the fixed eye splice. Sample 2 (3/16”)failed at the fixed eye (should have used a thimble)4450lbs. Sample 3 (5/16”) was pulled to 5845lbs (close to the limits of my test rig. In all three samples the running tail slipped 1 inch. I plan on doing further testing on 3/16” Amsteel.
